The current issue of the Journal of Mid-life Health is the first issue with the new editorial team; Dr. Sudhaa Sharma and Dr. Neelam Aggarwal, as the chief editors of the journal. This journal of Mid-life health is an official publication of Indian Menopause Society. It was started in 2010 with the hope of generating and sharing our own data with the world.
This is devoted to multidisciplinary fields in menopause research and therapeutics. Just in the past few years, this journal has reached new heights and it is included in PubMed with the hard work of our predecessors and expertise of the publishers.
We would like to emphasize on our efforts to keep up with the quality of this publication. Being on the editorial board since its inception, the main difficulty faced has been the unavailability of the reviewers which may be due to time constraints and competing priorities or intellectually less satisfying rewards. However, this difficulty is faced by other national and international journals also.
Authors, reviewers, and editors have a collective responsibility for improving the quality of the publications. We invite readers from different specialties all over the world to send their original research and unique case reports in addition to the reviews on controversial issues. The accompanying piece of editorial deals with the recent calcium controversy.
We take this opportunity to thank our predecessors, the legends in the menopausal health experts, our publisher Wolters Kluwer, esteemed members of the advisory board, our authors, reviewers, and the readers, and welcome the new members on the editorial board. We will constantly strive hard to keep up the tradition.
